Sometime in May, I visited Memphis Barbecue Co., a restaurant which apparently is owned by the 2012 winners of Memphis in May. While waiting to be seated by the hostess, I took the following pictures in the lobby. I doubt that I have ever seen so many pigs in one spot. One of them might even look familiar, if you’ve been following the “Caption This” series.
Also, I saw an autograph on the wall by Guy Fieri who hosts that Food Network TV Show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was kinda like wall graffiti, without the negative connotations. It reminded me of secondary school days when girls would sign on the wall, on lockers, (and on any other flat surface) their names and set/current year, e.g. Mary Oseni was here, ’97. Alright, enough of the walk down memory lane. Enjoy the pictures!
- Looks like a huge piggy bank, doesn’t it?
- The guy on the left sure looks familiar
- Guy Fieri’s signature / Wall Grafitti
- Memphis Barbecue Co. logo
- One of the t-shirts for sale
- Trophy or decoration? I vote for trophy!
- Definitely a trophy
- This was on the way out

They look so retro. How have you been
Upwardliving: They certainly do! I am fine o, and you? Thanks for checking up on me.
I am doing good.Nice to hear from you. Been up to my scalp in work. Don’t seem to have enough hours in the day. Who knows, maybe it’s the effect of global warming.
Upwardliving: Tell me about it! Global warming ke? I haven’t heard that one before … Lol!
